ENYO Retail and Supply, a customer-focused, technology driven fuels retailing company, in collaboration with cchub has unveiled a hackathon initiative. The exercise was aimed at developing local applications and solutions capable of disrupting the parts of the traditional value chain in the downstream oil sector in Nigeria.
The 3-day social media week event centered around creating smart solutions around service delivery in the downstream fuels retailing sector, together, both organizations tasked software developers, app programmers, ui/ux developers, tech enthusiasts, and business analysts to build solutions focused on cryptocurrency, customer loyalty and overall consumer experience.
At the end of the 3 day event, a solution was selected from over 5 solutions developed which involved over 100 developers and programmers. The CEO of ENYO Retail Abayomi Awobokun described the winning solution as an easy and the quick means of ensuring wonderful customer experience and service delivery system.
Abayomi said; “as an innovative and technology-driven, customer focused company, we are keen to support initiatives such as this hackathon working with tech incubation experts like cc hub to boost the overall levels of customer satisfaction at all ENYO retail services stations with the view to making these solutions available to all eligible players in fuels retailing sector in Nigeria.
Over 30,000 usd was spent on rewards and incentives to encourage young programmers that participated in this event to boost their ability to deepen their skills thereby positioning themselves to compete favorably with their counterparts all over the world. Abayomi expressed his gratitude to the entire cc hub team especially the founders and management of the-organization for setting up and hosting the hackathon for their their leading role in developing and incubating talent in the it-space in Nigeria.
Bosun Tijani the CEO and co founder, cchub said, the winners and the runners up will have access to their technology pre-incubation and incubation support packages which includes cash and coaching services spanning up tro 3 months. Bosun further explained; “the development of the final solution would be rigorously supervised by experts at cc hub with further cash incentives for all members of the development team. Tijani described the exercise as a call to Nigerian youths to display their talents and creativity to drive nigerian grown solutions to help attract investment in products that are made in nigeria by nigerians for Nigerians.
